A TB-specific immune response kit is a diagnostic tool used to assess an individual’s immune response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) antigens, primarily ESAT-6 and CFP-10. These kits measure the release of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) by T cells in response to Mtb antigens, indicating a past or present infection.
