Glucose Agar is a culture medium used to identify microorganisms based on their ability to ferment glucose. It’s particularly useful for identifying Enterobacteriaceae and can also be used for other bacteria like Pseudomonas. The presence of acid and/or gas production during fermentation is typically indicated by a color change in the medium or the presence of bubbles in the Durham tube.
