A TB immune response test kit is a diagnostic tool that detects the body’s immune reaction to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) antigens. It can be used to determine if someone has been infected with TB, whether the infection is latent (dormant) or active, and can be used to assist in the diagnosis of TB disease. These tests are typically blood tests, measuring the production of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) by T cells when exposed to TB antigens.
