A resistance measuring device, also known as an ohmmeter, is an instrument used to determine the electrical resistance of a component or circuit. It works by sending a known current through the resistor and measuring the resulting voltage, then applying Ohm’s Law (V=IR) to calculate the resistance. Multimeters, both analog and digital, commonly incorporate ohmmeter functions.
